⁹“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. ¹⁰When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.” 

John 15:9-10

Jesus offers us the same relationship with him he has with the Father. That is extraordinary! It would be worth it to read the verses again. In essence, Jesus says that in the same way that the Father loves him, he loves us.

I have no trouble believing that Father loves Jesus intensely and unconditionally. More than once — at his baptism and again at his transfiguration — God spoke and said, “This is my son and he brings me great joy!” On the mountain, where Jesus was changed right before the disciples’ eyes, God added these words, “Listen to him!” I encourage you to follow the links and read it for yourself.

If the intensity of Jesus’ love for me matches Father’s love for Jesus, it should change the way I live, how I see myself, what I attach myself to — it changes everything! To be loved with this kind of passionate intensity is beyond amazing!
