I love this date because it is the day I was born. For the last few years, I was able to spend this day with my mother even though we live thousands of miles apart. I consider that to be a true blessing. Tonight we will celebrate by eating my favorite genre of food — Italian!

As I often do around my birthday, I celebrate the person I am and who I am becoming. Often this means taking time to do a few “me” things like getting a massage or facial, going shopping, taking a bubble bath, enjoying time with friends, reading a book just for fun or watching a movie. Saturday evening I sat down and watched the latest Disney princess movie, Encanto!

Folks, if you haven’t seen this movie, you need to. It is profoundly deep and yet entertaining; encouraging and challenging; for the young and the young at heart. It is for anyone who needs to be reminded that she is more than what she does; he is more than his gift.

You are enough. You are valuable in the family. You are more than what you can do. Walk in that today!
